I’ve just returned from a thrilling three days at FanExpo Philadelphia where I got to meet all sorts of delightful humans, heroes, monsters and miscellaneous beings from all across the galaxy. Thanks to everyone who dropped by my table to watch a brutal dogfight between WWI biplanes or share a cup of tea with my shape-shifting, time-travelling rabbit. It was a pleasure to meet you all!
I debuted two of my new graphic novel projects at the con and plan to update you regularly on my progress on both as they grow and develop.
The Metamorphist
Proteus Yorwick, a rebellious son of Poseidon, chooses to live as a middle-aged, bon vivant rabbit, who uses his shape-shifting powers to help mythic creatures trapped in the wrong form find their authentic selves. In Issue #1, Proteus finds an unconventional solution to the troubles of a music-loving centaur rejected by his tribe and accepts his own true calling as Consulting Metamorphist.
This is going to be an ongoing series and I’ll keep you updated on future releases.
I see Proteus’s tale as an epic, elemental journey and while the story of Issue #1 is Earth-based, Issue #2 will bring a reluctant Proteus back to his native element – Water – as he transfigures into a new kind of Loch Ness monster.

Phantoms of Vendôme
A disfigured American fighter pilot in 1920s Paris stages a surreal theatrical operation to punish the traitors who destroyed his face and identity, and at the same time expose their conspiracy to steal French national treasures and sell them for weapons to start a new world war.
This is going to be a full-length graphic novel and I released my first teaser issue at FanCon Philadelphia. I’m currently putting together an official submission package to hand in to my wonderful agent, Kaitlyn Johnson of Belcastro Agency.
As I work on the package, I’ve already updated and re-imagined some of the pages included in my teaser issue. Here’s a glimpse at my updated Page 1, enhanced for greater dramatic impact and optimal psychological drama:

I’d love to hear what you think or answer questions about my stories and art, so feel free to reach out! I’m on my way to an archaeological dig in the south of Egypt right now, but I’ll respond to all messages as soon as I reach my dig house and get an internet connection.
In the meantime, keep an eye out for more updates!
