I celebrated Halloween this year in Luxor, in the south of Egypt where I’m participating in an archaeological dig. Our illustrious archaeological colleagues made a special effort to embody a variety of monsters, undead beings and visions of the ancient past.

But the truly unsettling ancient visions caught up with me as soon as I went to bed. I tried to sketch them in the morning, but can’t guarantee 100% accuracy as my hands were trembling in terror!
