Escape of an Ichtyander

This young, cheeky “Ichtyander”, part of an experimental amphibious submarine fighting unit, has managed to evade his Nazi handlers. He thinks of himself as a master of disguise. He found some oversize boots to conceal the fins that have taken the place of his feet, and a pair of polio braces to support his tentacle-legs. He’s convinced that battered old fedora is casting a deep enough shadow to hide the scales running up his neck and the sides of his face. He’s very happy with the result and thinks himself unrecognizable to the people looking for him. His plan is to live off the priceless pearls he’s collected from the bottom of the ocean. Wish him luck! You’ll discover in future posts whether his scheme is a success.
